Topical questions about vaccination in the conditions of war and the COVID-19 pandemic"

Only 8% of residents of the Lviv region took the first booster shot against COVID-19

This was reported during the press conference: "Actual questions about vaccination in the conditions of war and the COVID-19 pandemic."

According to experts, the number of people vaccinated against COVID-19 has decreased significantly, although the virus itself and its consequences have not disappeared.

As of March 2023, more primary vaccinations were performed in Lviv Oblast

1 million people, of which less than 200,000 people received the first booster.

"Experience shows that people who are vaccinated with one or two doses against the coronavirus after a few months still have a chance of getting sick. To avoid this and to protect yourself, you need to inject booster doses of the vaccine into the body. The first booster should be given no earlier than 5 months after the vaccination of the complex, and the second - no earlier than 4 months after the first dose," noted Natalia Ivanchenko, general director of the Lviv Regional Center for Disease Control and Prevention
