In Ukraine, the first case of infection with a new subspecies of the strain "Omicron" XBB.1.5, or "Kraken", was recorded.
This subspecies is characterized by high rates of spread. It quickly became dominant in more than 29 countries.
Already available studies indicate that vaccination prevents the severe course of the disease and hospitalization in the case of Kraken infection.
If you have not yet received your dose necessary for protection against the coronavirus - do it as soon as possible!

In total, as of January 21, there are 4,360 doses of COMIRNATY, 34,247 doses of CORONAVAC and 480 doses of JANSSEN in the institutions of the region.
During the reporting week (January 16, 2023-January 22, 2023), a total of 1,314 vaccinations against COVID-19 were carried out in the Lviv region; an increase compared to the previous week – 16%.
