Is it possible to get vaccinated while taking antibiotics?

Antibiotics do not affect the effect of the vast majority of vaccines, so taking them by itself is not a contraindication to vaccination.

Children and adults who take antibiotics for a mild form of the disease can be vaccinated according to the vaccination calendar.

In Ukraine, if a person is seriously ill or has a temperature above 38°C, vaccination should be postponed until recovery. Vaccination will not affect the course of the disease. In many other countries, this limit is a temperature above 38.5 C. This is more due to caution, but not the available evidence of the danger of vaccination at elevated temperature.

Once the person is feeling better, they can have their scheduled vaccinations, even if they are still on antibiotics.
