Which ready-made products have the most salt?

About 70% of the salt we consume is in ready-made products that we buy on the shelves of supermarkets. So, which prepared foods have the most salt?


The top four are:

- bread;

- processed meat products;

- cheese;

- canned goods and semi-finished products.


WHO recommends reducing salt intake to 5 grams per day, which is one teaspoon without a top. The latest study of the nutrition of Ukrainians provides disappointing data: on average, we consume three times more salt.

What is the benefit of limiting the consumption of table salt?

The first is to prevent blood pressure from rising.

The second is the reduction of the already high blood pressure in the vessels.

The third is a significant reduction in the risk of complications caused by high blood pressure.
