July 21 is International Junk Food Day.


The term "junk food" appeared in the 70s of the last century. It was then that scientific studies were conducted on the effects of preservatives, salt, and sugar on the human body.

Irrational and unhealthy food only loads body, can affect health, and significantly so.

Therefore, it is worth getting rid of such eating habits as irregular meals, fast food snacks, or food of dubious quality.

Today, Ukrainians suffer massively from cardiovascular, oncological, gastrointestinal diseases and diabetes, which arise, in particular, as a result of improper nutrition.

1. Chips, crackers and other such snacks (a light snack, usually dry) contain a large amount of carcinogenic synthetic fats;

2. Fast food, French fries are fried in reusable vegetable oil, which causes the formation of carcinogens;

3. Sausage and smoked products contain a lot of salt and sugar, dyes, flavorings, and when smoked, they often accumulate benzopyrene - a strong carcinogen that can cause cancer;

4. Sweet carbonated drinks are harmful with a high concentration of sugar equal to FIVE! teaspoons of sugar dissolved in one glass of water.

5. Confectionery with a high content of fat (margarine, spreads) and sugar with frequent consumption disrupts the metabolism.

6. Sauces, ketchup and mayonnaise contain trans fats and a large amount of sugar and salt.

7. Semi-finished products, instant noodles are solid "chemistry" that harms the body.
