In the Lviv region, the following species of animals fell ill with rabies in 8 months:
- foxes – 21, incl. rabies was detected in 10
after shooting (44.7%);
- dogs – 12, incl. 1 stray (25.5%);
- cats – 11, incl. 1 stray (23.4%);
- martens - 2 (4.3%);
- badger – 1 (2.1%).
Anti-rabies treatment was prescribed for 68 affected people.
Today, people need only 5 doses of the vaccine to survive a bite. (not 40!!!!)
Rabies is an incurable disease!
