The number of people arriving in Lviv Region from the frontline regions has increased

So far, this figure does not significantly differ from what is usual, because our region receives evacuation trains every day and evacuation buses several times a week. But we can already see an upward trend.

That night, our medical and psychological aid volunteers met women and children traveling from Sloviansk and Zaporizhzhia at the Main Railway Station. Two families fit their entire previous lives into three dozen bags. One family left for Poland after consultation, another was given shelter by friends in our region.

People from Kherson, Nikopol, Kryvyi Rih, Energodar and Tokmak arrive more often. They go independently. Often with transplants. Evacuation trains, which can transport all those affected by the disaster at the Kakhovskaya HPP or living in settlements threatened by the tense situation at the Zaporizhzhya NPP, are on standby. However, many locals do not want to leave their homes. Those who decide to leave use their own transport or regular trains.

We are preparing for the fact that the number of forced migrants arriving in our region may increase in the coming days. If you are ready to strengthen the work of our volunteers at the Main Railway Station of Lviv, fill out the form.

If you have arrived in Lviv Oblast and need shelter, food, clothing or other assistance, call the Hotline of Lviv Oblast: 112.

Or fill out the form to receive help from advisory and coordination centers, which we have deployed in all districts of our region to quickly support those who find themselves in difficult life circumstances.
