On June 25 at 12:30 p.m. in Lviv, on the territory of the Church of the Nativity of the Holy Mother of God (Sykhiv), informational information "Pulmonary Hypertension Day" will be held. The goal is to talk about this rare disease and its symptoms, as well as warn about the health risks and encourage people to undergo preventive examinations.
The field team of doctors in the "City of Health" conducts the following examinations free of charge: echocardiography, electrocardiography; blood pressure measurement; testing for Covid-19, hepatitis C; determination of body mass index (BMI).
During the campaign, you can also get a consultation from a family doctor and a cardiologist, recommendations from specialists about health habits and vaccination against infections (in particular, against COVID-19, diphtheria and tetanus). And also learn the culture of hand washing.

Pulmonary hypertension is a rare lung disease that can lead to cardiovascular failure, heart and lung transplantation, or death. It can occur in both women and men of different ages, as well as in children.
According to the Ministry of Health, 539 adults and 135 children with pulmonary hypertension have been registered in Ukraine. Treatment is expensive and lifelong. Life expectancy without treatment is up to 3 years. The Delilah Sisters Charitable Foundation, the Association of Pulmonary Hypertension take care of children and adults with pulmonary hypertension in Ukraine.
