Myocardial infarction: symptoms and first aid

46% of deaths among Ukrainians are the result of ischemic heart disease, the acute manifestation of which is myocardial infarction.

Moreover, the "age" of a heart attack is getting younger — and now more and more people under the age of 30 are becoming its victims.

How does a heart attack or heart attack occur? When one or more arteries are blocked, the heart does not receive enough blood, which is accompanied by damage and death of heart muscle tissue.

Time is of the essence in a heart attack, because it causes irreversible changes in the heart muscle and can cause cardiac arrest. So the sooner first aid is provided, the less serious the consequences of the disease will be.

Call an ambulance at number 103!

Open the front door of the apartment for the medical assistance team.

Sit or lie down so that the upper part of the body is raised. You can put a pillow under your head and shoulders. Bend the legs at the knees.

For high blood pressure and no contraindications, take an aspirin and nitroglycerin tablet.

Loosen clothes and free the chest so that nothing obstructs breathing.

Open the windows and ventilate the room.

Don't panic!

How to prevent a heart attack? The main recommendation: at the first "bells" of heart disease, contact your family doctor. And, of course, take care of a healthy lifestyle.
