According to the monitoring of the incidence of acute respiratory viral infections in the population of Lviv region, in the 42nd week of 2023 (October 16-22, 2023), 10,428 cases of acute respiratory viral infections were registered in Lviv region (416.0 per 100,000 population). against 10,719 cases (427.6 per 100,000 population) in the previous week – a decrease in incidence by 2.7%.
The intensive indicator for the 42nd week is 4.2% lower than the epidemic threshold of 434.07. In the structure of morbidity, the specific weight of children under the age of 17 was 50.3% - 5,244 people.
An unfavorable epidemic situation is observed in the territory of Peremyshlyan OTG, where the intensive index is 39.9% higher than the epidemic threshold (intensive index per 100 thousand population is 347.1 with epidoporosis 248.1). In Horodotsk OTG, the intensive rate is 9.0% higher than the epidemic threshold (the intensive rate per 100,000 population is 842.6, while epidoporosis is 773.0).
The virological laboratory of the Lviv Regional Center for Disease Control and Prevention of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine tested samples of material from patients with acute respiratory disease using the PCR method, and no influenza viruses were detected.
2,912 residents of Lviv region were vaccinated against influenza in Lviv region.
During the 42nd week, 473 residents fell ill with acute respiratory disease COVID-19. One fatal case was registered. 58 patients are receiving inpatient treatment.
